Tenby Church in Wales Primary School is a happy, healthy school, underpinned by strong nurturing values. We aim to inspire and challenge all children to become confident, resilient, independent and creative; supporting talents and widening horizons.

 We aim:

•  To provide a caring, welcoming, family environment, aiming for high standards of teaching and learning and always striving to improve.

•  To promote the self-esteem and confidence of our children through a nurturing, Christian ethos and through our school Values, in order for all children to be ready to learn effectively, individually and collaboratively

•  To place our Values at the heart of all aspects of school life, to be shared by everyone involved with the school.

•  To ensure health and well-being is at the heart of our school.

•  To provide a creative and challenging curriculum appealing to children and staff, allowing all children to reach their potential.

•  To create an environment where children develop the confidence to think for themselves, welcoming curiosity and nurturing ambition.

•  To work in partnership with governors, parents and our local community, celebrating success in all we do.

•  To ensure a safe and attractive environment indoors and outdoors, providing quality facilities and experiences for our children.

•  To embrace educational developments and new ideas so that our school is prepared for the challenges of the future.

•  To help pupils to understand the society in which they live; the cultural, economic, environmental, historic and linguistic characteristics of their locality and Wales; preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of the future.

•  To actively promote and protects the physical, mental and social well-being of our community through positive action by such means as policy, strategic planning and staff development with regard to its curriculum, ethos, physical environment and community relations.

Our vision, aims and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, considerate and caring citizens. We use the values below as themes for Collective Worship, Circle Time and discussion sessions in class and to compliment our Golden Rules about behaviour at school. The children selected 12 values when the school first opened which they felt were most important to them.
